The Embrace Ambition Series is a weeklong multi-city event series held in select Tory Burch boutiques nationwide. The series will feature talks on topics including empowering women, unconscious bias, using your voice for change, entrepreneurship and more.


HOW CAN I ATTEND AN EMBRACE AMBITION SERIES EVENT?

Complete the application form for your chance to attend an Embrace Ambition Series event. Applications will be open from January 15, 2019 at 12:00 AM EST to January 29, 2019 at 11:59AM EST. If you have been selected to attend, you will be notified by email in early February. If you are unable to join us in person, please sign up [link] for a virtual access pass to watch the Series livestream.

WHAT IF I AM SELECTED TO ATTEND THE SERIES BUT CAN NO LONGER ATTEND? CAN A FRIEND OR FAMILY MEMBER ATTEND IN MY PLACE?

Applicant selections are non-transferable. If you cannot attend in person, please let us know and sign up for a virtual access pass to watch the Series livestream.

How can I attend an Embrace Ambition Series event?

Complete the application form for your chance to attend an Embrace Ambition Series event. Applications will be open from January 15, 2019 at 12:00 AM EST to January 29, 2019 at 11:59PM EST. You must be 18 years or over to apply. If you have been selected to attend, you will be notified by email in early February. If you are unable to join us in person, please sign up for a virtual access pass to watch the Series livestream.

Gitanjali Rao

Gitanjali Rao is a 13-year-old 8th grader from Highlands Ranch, Colorado. She was named America’s Top Young Scientist of 2017 by the Discovery Education 3M Young Scientist Challenge, with a patent pending device to detect lead in water faster than any other current techniques. She has recently open-sourced her lead detector processor and app code for the community and continues to perform accuracy testing in Denver. An active STEM promoter, and Gitanjali recognized as a Forbes 30 under 30 for science and invention.

Hadiyah Mujhid

Hadiyah Mujhid is the Founder and CEO of HBCUvc, a nonprofit organization that educates and trains students at HBCUs and Hispanic-serving institutions in technology entrepreneurship and venture capital to create racially equitable economies. The organization runs a fellowship at Black and Hispanic universities where Fellows activate their campus ecosystems by hosting entrepreneurial events and providing access to capital. Hadiyah received her MBA with from Drexel University and a BS in Computer Science from University of Maryland Eastern Shore.

Tracy Chou

Tracy Chou is an entrepreneur, software engineer, and diversity advocate. She spent five years at Pinterest as an engineer and tech lead and was an early hire engineer at Quora prior to that. She is a founding member of Project Include and is an investment scout and advisor for a couple of Bay Area VC firms. In her latest venture she is CEO of Block Party, with a mission to solve online harassment and abuse and rethink social platforms.

Gabrielle Raymond McGee

Gabrielle Raymond McGee is a creative marketing Executive in New York City where she leads the Tory Burch Foundation as Chief Operating Officer. Under her leadership the Tory digital initiatives have become the go to resources for women entrepreneurs. Gabrielle is responsible for creating the Seed Box, a sold-out curated box featuring women-owned products, marketing the Capital program, which has deployed $40 million+ in loans for women. She conceptualized the digital campaign: EmbraceAmbition.org celebrating female ambition which has reached people in 98% of the world’s countries. Her work has been cited in the international media and she has spoken at the Cannes Lions Festival of Creativity, Fast Company's Innovation Festival and Google. Gabrielle received the Stanford Intellectual Contribution Award three times. She is an Executive Educator at Stanford’s GSB Corporate Innovation program. In 2018, she was named to the Marketing Hall of Femme, which celebrates the brightest female talent in marketing.

Shelly Kapoor Collins

Shelly is Founding Partner of the Shatter Fund, investing in Tech companies led and founded by female entrepreneurs. Shatter is the culmination of Shelly’s entire career of working in Technology as a founder, investor and advisor, and extensive experience in mentoring and empowering women in the US and abroad. An unparalleled network of strong female operators built over 20 years in the Tech industry provides the Shatter team with access to some of the most exciting, mission driven female led companies.
